Hola Claudio estamos muy contentos de tenerte de nuevo! what happened since your last visit , what have you been working for and what are your present proyects what are you working on ?
Hola, I am super excited too to be back in the beautiful city of Medellin! Lot of things, new sounds, new music visions and prospectives, a new album coming out this month which I can’t wait to play it for you all! As well as to be reunited with my dear mentor Cio D’Or!
Techno or listening album ?
Both, it’s a new story, a new chapter in my discography which include music from ambient to leftfield techno to deep sounds, some tracks can be played in clubs but it’s a very immersive and intimate journey good also for a listening at home or out of the clubs
After the hype created some years ago only the essence survived , how you feel right now with the community that is created now , where you still are one of the biggest influences ?
Thanks for this consideration, I still feel a lot enthusiastic and happy to belong to this music community, as well as to discover new artists and new audience, it’s always a great challenge to let new people discover my music and it is what stimulate me most. There is a lot of interest in my recent experiences towards my music by the new generation and it let me feel a kind of safe, lucky, those seed planted in the past are still growing!
How you prepare your sets , how much of their tracks are taken on the fly and how many are planned to be into the journeys ? what % you would say , we think your transitions are so smooth and delicate and soft that , we are curious how you actually play them ! or if is just precision and technique 😝
I constantly working on my sets, every day, looking for new music and new sounds that can fit the stories I want to tell in every specific gig. Most of times I select the music specific for the venue, the city and the crowd I am going to perform for. Then of course I let the inspiration of the moment to lead me. Other times, instead, some track that I play come on mind suddenly before I have to perform, and I love this, because I let myself completely go with the feeling of that present moment. Like when it happen for the intro track I choose to play for my set at Freedom some years ago. That was decided 10 minutes before play!
You said Cio was your mentor ? how was that ? is so magical you will be with your mentor in Colombia , we can’t wait 🙂 we believe in synchronicity too 🙂 we learn from Cio how poetical small details in nature and life can be and also about endurance and never is late to get in love with anything like she did with Techno !
I definitely agree with your words, what I’ve learned from her is exactly that, the cure for details, how much details are important! I owe a lot to her, she discovered me and my music long time ago through MySpace and introduced me to Prologue, the rest is history. She represents the real essence of an artist for me, a role model, sometimes a bit harsh with me but thats what teachers have to do ahahhaha forever grateful!
